EMIKO KAJI, Education & Global PR, Nikka Whisky
Being attracted to the wine & spirits business through a part-time job at a liquor store when she was a student, Emiko Kaji entered Nikka Whisky and started her career as a sales rep in Tokyo in 1990. In 2001, when Asahi Breweries took the entire ownership of Nikka Whisky, she transferred to Asahi and further widened her experiences in the industry. In 2008, she was given an opportunity to learn about international trading at a company outside of Asahi group. After experiencing export of Japanese foods and beverages, she came back to Asahi in 2010. Emiko has been managing Nikka’s global business as the front runner to cultivate the foreign markets and introduce artisanal whiskies and spirits crafted by Nikka to enthusiasts around the world.
