The founder of Treveri, Juergen Grieb, was born and raised in Trier, Germany, where he received his formal winemaking and sparkling winemaking degrees. He came to Washington State in 1982 and has been making quality Washington wine ever since. Juergen has accumulated more than 30 years of winemaking experience, making wines from every growing region in Washington State.
Juergen’s son, Christian, was exposed to the ins and outs of winemaking in Washington State by working alongside his family and was hooked ever since. Since beginning his career at Treveri, Christian has completed eight harvests as Winemaker, and completed the UC Davis Winemaking Certificate program. Along with his father, Christian continues to craft some of the finest sparkling wines in the United States. A family owned winery that has Julie and Katie Grieb also involved in the daily operations of Treveri cellars.
